Funeral Ceremony Packages

Honoring Lives with Grace, Warmth, and Personal Significance

Every life deserves to be remembered in a way that beautifully reflects its story, spirit, and importance. At Sarah’s Personal Ceremonies, I offer three thoughtfully designed funeral packages that provide support to families during moments of reflection, tribute, and connection.

Whether you're planning a formal funeral, an intimate farewell, or a celebration of life, I will partner closely with you to create a ceremony that brings comfort and honors your loved one with authenticity and compassion.

The ceremony typically lasts 30 to 40 minutes, depending on venue.

Types of Funeral in the UK

Helping You Choose the Right Farewell

Every life is unique — and so is every goodbye. In the UK, families have a wide range of funeral options to reflect personal beliefs, values, and wishes. Whether traditional or alternative, religious or secular, each type of funeral offers a meaningful way to honour a loved one.

Here’s a guide to the most common types of funerals available:

Traditional Burial Funeral

Often includes a hearse, limousines, and a formal ceremony

Can be religious or non-religious

Burial may be preceded by a church or crematorium service

Traditional Cremation Funeral

A service held at a crematorium, followed by cremation.

Includes readings, music, and tributes

Ashes may be kept, scattered, or buried

Can be tailored to any faith or belief system

Natural or Woodland Burial

An eco-conscious option using biodegradable materials.

Held at a natural burial site

Often includes a simple ceremony in nature

Ideal for those seeking a sustainable farewell

Humanist or Non-Religious Funeral

A celebration of life without religious content.

Led by a celebrant

Focuses on the person’s story, values, and relationships

Can be held at any venue — crematorium, hall, home, or outdoors

Direct Cremation

A simple, unattended cremation with no formal service.

No ceremony or mourners present

Ashes returned to the family

Families may hold a memorial or celebration later
